At SYNERGIE, our goal is to promote sustainable livelihoods and a sustainable marketplace. Our focus on fairness has many directions: the consumer, the artist/artisan as producer, and the way we as a business function in the market place. From the producer’s standpoint we are using fair trade standards equivalent to or better than those advocated by Fair Trade Organizations International. Our goal is to help artists/artisans become self-sufficient and earn a livable wage for what they create. Our artists/artisans share in 50% or more of the profit earned from the sale. Occassionally, other factors may affect profit sharing such as risk absorbtion or cost of living differentials between countries. Questions about our fair trade practices?
